Receptor signal transduction and membrane transport controlling the growth and differentiation of macrophages: Elucidating how the CSF-1 receptor (CSF-1R)—a key growth factor receptor in macrophages—is internalized and trafficked within cells. These processes significantly affect how the receptor signals, which in turn regulates macrophage growth and differentiation.
The function and underlying biochemical mechanisms of macropinocytosis in macrophages: Clarifying the molecular machinery of macropinocytosis and exploring how macropinosomes contribute to cell growth.
Development of new methods for imaging biochemical events within living cells: Studying molecular interactions in real-time within living cells, using advanced imaging technologies such as FRET (for protein-protein interactions), TIRF (for plasma membrane events), and polarized-TIRF (for visualizing membrane curvature).
