Housing and Residential Life Dates
- Aug. 8-9: Summer to fall transitions. Must be checked out of summer housing by Aug. 9 at noon.
- Aug. 22: Meet State (new students and new transfer students) 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Aug. 23: Returner move-in 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Sept. 12: Community assistant application and summer staff application open for 2026-2027.
- Sept. 27: Southeast University Neighborhood open house (11 a.m.-1 p.m.).
- Oct. 7: New students for 2025-2026 housing application opens (new admits only).
- Oct. 15: Southeast University Neighborhood open house from 6-8 p.m.
- Dec. 2: Winter break/late stay/early return application opens at 10 a.m.
- Dec. 15: Winter break/late stay application due by noon.
- Dec. 17: Halls close for winter break at 7 p.m. Students not registered for spring 2026 must move out.
*Students needing to stay during the break periods will need to apply for break housing. Current residents who are participating in graduation will not be charged for break housing in May. Exceptions can be made to opening and closing time due to inclement 糖心视频, travel or other circumstances. If you have questions regarding this, please contact the Housing and Residential Life Office.
- Jan. 5: Early return for spring semester application due by noon.
- Jan. 11: Halls open for spring semester at noon.
- Jan. 23: Community assistant applications due for fall and summer.
- Jan. 27: 2026-2027 returner student housing application opens at 10 a.m.
- Feb. 18: Southeast University Neighborhood open house from 6-8 p.m.
- Feb. 23: Spring break application opens.
- March 11: Spring break application due at noon.
- March 13: Halls close for spring break at 5 p.m.
- March 22: Halls open after spring break at noon
- April 1: Summer housing/late stay application opens at 10 a.m.
- April 24: Summer housing/late stay priority deadline at noon.
- May 8: Halls close for the year at 7 p.m.
- May 15-16: Spring to summer transitions. Must be checked out of spring assignment by May 16 at noon.

Break Stay Applications
All break stay/late stay/early return applications will be found in the Housing Portal. The Housing Portal can be accessed by residents through the following pathway:
MyState > Dashboard > Forms > University Housing Portal > Login > Select Break Housing Application
Residents must have an approved break application to maintain housing and card access during closed periods.

Room Changes
Housing and Residential Life facilitates room change periods throughout the academic year. Residents will receive emails about the room change process. However, any resident having roommate difficulties is encouraged to talk to their community assistant or residence hall director. Residents should not move themselves to other spaces without written approval from Housing and Residential Life staff.
