Program Goal

To provide graduates of entry into respiratory care professional practice degree programs with additional knowledge, skills and attributes in leadership, management, education, research and/or advanced clinical practice that will enable them to meet their current professional goals and prepare them for practice as advanced respiratory therapists.

Student Learning Outcomes

ESLO #1: Students will apply advanced clinical reasoning to the delivery of evidence-based care.

ESLO #2: Students will apply enhanced communication, collaboration and leadership skills in interdisciplinary healthcare settings.

ESLO #3: Students will critically evaluate scientific literature to apply findings to respiratory care practice.

ESLO#4: Students will analyze policies and/or clinical practice guidelines that contribute to the delivery of safe and ethical care.
